History repeats

I was waiting for the weekend. Saturday night party. Dinner at 11 pm. We came home very late. Not to worry. It’s Sunday tomorrow.  I  woke up very late in the morning.  I skipped my breakfast. It’s my relaxing day. Today I am not going to do any work. We planned to have lunch outside. Later we went for shopping. Evening we came home. I had to prepare everything for the upcoming week.  I need to wake up early in the morning, finish my kitchen chores and go to work. Just thinking about it is a nightmare.

The next day after I came home from work, I had shocking news awaiting. My servant didn’t turn up. My God. Vessels to clean, floors to mop and clothes to be washed. So much work. I got frustrated. I don’t know why I become so dramatic at these times.

How did I forget that my daughters were watching me? What did I convey to them?
What did they understand from my life?

The best times of the week are Saturdays and Sundays. We can sleep late at night on a Saturday. I wake up late on Sunday. To relax is to lie in bed, and sit on the sofa the whole day watching whatever comes on the TV. It’s okay to have erratic timings for food. If you don’t feel like cooking, don’t cook. Eating outside is great. This is how life can be amazing. Cooking, cleaning and other household chores are nightmares that make our lives miserable. Preparing to go to school or work on weekdays is frustrating.

Why am I failing to let them understand that every day is a memorable day?  Household chores are as much fun and exciting as watching a movie.
Going to work or study can be exciting too. Do whatever you have to do with fun and love. Mondays are as much fun as Sundays.

Let’s not forget. A few years later, in your child’s house, history repeats.
