A new product has come to the market claiming to be a tasty food supplement that promotes weight loss. It was pretty much expensive and I wanted to buy the product. I was not sure how the taste would be. You know, I was so tempted to buy it and couldn’t resist. However, I didn’t want to waste my money on something that is not delicious and that I may not even use.
Giving it a great thought, I went to the supermarket the other day to buy my monthly groceries. To my surprise, there was a counter distributing free samples of the product I longed to buy. I ran towards the lady giving away the sample and secured mine. Once I reached home, I opened the wrap and started to taste. It was not to my taste and not as flavorful as it claimed to be. Thank God, I didn’t buy it impulsively. Thanks for the free sample, otherwise I would have bought the wrong product and wasted my money.
In our lives, there are so many crucial decisions we need to make. Should I take a left turn or right? Should I choose this career? Should I marry this person? Should I relocate? Should I enter this business? Some of our choices turn into blessings while others turn into a big challenge that is difficult to endure and overcome.
In my life, I have made many choices. There are pros and cons to everything. I don’t make impulsive decisions. I thoroughly think before deciding. Have all my choices worked for me, then? No. I have made many bad choices. But I own my choices. I endure whatever I face, simply because I decided to face it. I don’t end up blaming myself or others. I feel it gives us great strength to face our challenges when we own our choices.
We sometimes make bad choices, and it’s okay. Life doesn’t come as free samples after all.
